Random quotes

Ok--I stumbles on some quotes on a website: Enjoy.

An intellectual snob is someone who can listen to the William Tell Overture and not think of The Lone Ranger. --Dan Rather

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. --Mark Twain

Eat a live toad the first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day. --Unknown

If we don't change direction soon, we'll end up where we're going. --Professor Irwin Corey

A thinker sees his own actions as experiments and questions--as attempts to find out something. Success and failure are for him answers above all. --Friedrich Nietzsche

If you cannot lift the load off another's back, do not walk away. Try to lighten it. --Frank Tyger

Against logic there is no armor like ignorance. --Laurence J. Peter

OK--that is all for now. But a question--

If yesterday were today and tomorrow never happened until it was over, then where did you pick up the pig and slaughter it?

It's a good point you are raising, one that I don't think i've ever thought of. I know that God is an interactive God, and that sometimes only when we still our hearts (and thoughts), can we really hear what He's saying to us. BUT i do also think that you are right, my mind is often filled with thoughts of fear, insecurity and doubt, and I don't listen to the Voice Of Truth. Do you know that song = by Casting Crowns, highly recommend it.. it speaks of listening to God's voice, in the midst of circumstances that seem to contradict. Kudos on the site, I'm a friend of Barry's from PEI..
